An advocate for change
If you don’t know who David Attenborough is off the top of your head, chances are you’ve heard his voice over the years in one of his many documentaries about the planet.
For over six decades, Attenborough has been an advocate for earth, the wonders of nature, and the wildlife that inhabits it, but could it be time for him to pass the torch?

7-year-old Aneeshwar is the perfect candidate.
After Britain’s Got Talent host, David Williams, surprised Aneeshwar and his classmates with an audition on BGT, they took to the stage and captivated the audience with a heart-warming performance about the environment.
“I care about the environment A LOT,” young Aneeshwar explained at the start of the performance
That’s when he put on his commentator’s voice and gave David Attenborough a run for his money.
His speech was beautiful.
“There’s no other planet like earth, it holds plants and flourishing life. It is an amazing creation, a real inspiration. There’s no other planet like earth.” Aneeshwar says, with an adorable hand-drawn picture of nature prompted on the big screen.
That’s when one of his classmates comes onto the stage dressed in an elephant costume.
That’s not all.
Aneeshwar continues his heartfelt performance, explaining how humans are getting it all wrong when it comes to Mother Earth:
“We’ve been getting it wrong for much, much, much too long. Cutting down trees, polluting the seas, poaching the animals for accessories. We need to stop getting it wrong,” says Aneeshwar, as his friend dressed in the elephant costume rubs his eyes as if he’s crying for the planet.
People in the crowd light up with admiration for the inspiring 7-year-old, while more of his classmates come to the stage in precious animal costumes.
His conviction is poetic.
Aneeshwar’s ability to paint a picture with his words at such a young age is truly remarkable, he goes on to say:
“I wish you could see the Tasmanian tiger, in its very special, unique attire. The bats and the flying squirrels, gliding the open skies, and we can catch the beauty forever in our eyes. The gorgeous peacocks stand stairway, the fantastic golden eagles gliding display, and there’s no other planet like earth.” Anneshwar says as he finishes the powerful performance.
A thundering applause
The audience goes wild for Aneeshwar and his classmates, earning them a standing ovation and some kind words from the BGT judges
All four judges are taken aback by the young child’s performance, even the notoriously brutal Simon Cowell can’t deny the incredible message and charisma of the 7-year-old.
This is a message that children and adults alike should be spreading, and we’re sure David Attenborough will be thoroughly impressed by his “mini-me!”
