No one likes to be alone for too long. We appreciate the privacy now and then, but it won’t be long before you start feeling like you wanna see another person’s face.

Of course, loneliness has been the inspiration for some pretty darn good songs.

Nothing gets the songwriting juices flowing like a bit of sadness, right?

There’s a lot of songs about loneliness, but we’re going to take a look at a pretty old one for this video.

This mom wants to get her son to bust a couple of moves with her, and “Cry to Me” by Solomon Burke is her song of choice.

Released in 1962, the song is definitely a few generations old for either her or her son to have grown up with.

Maybe she heard it from her parents or grandparents, no?

Either way, the song’s groovy bassline and beat are irresistible to any ears that come across it.

But her son, Evan, seems to be resisting the groove bug quite impressively.

So mom tries to groove and encourage him a bit more.

She’s really feeling the music, and she needs someone to enjoy it with her.

Who better than her son?

But his phone seems to have his attention a bit much. I can’t blame him.

This video was taken during quarantine, and maybe he was getting a bit bored and lonely himself.

Though if he’s also lonely, wouldn’t that make joining in on the song even more appropriate?

It’ll take a bit more encouraging, but mom’s got it. After all, what are moms good at if not encouraging their kids, right?

Well, the groove does eventually get a bit too strong to resist.

That, or his mom’s dancing.

Her son finally gets up and starts breaking it down with mom!

He’s no slouch either. Seems like he’s just as much a dancer as his, and he doesn’t look the slightest bit shy.

In fact, he’s even got a proud grin on his face that he doesn’t hide from the camera.

His moves look pretty funny, and he knows it (and so does mom).

Evan goes from joining mom to stealing the show. Hey, maybe that’s what she wanted?

“He’s over there acting like he doesn’t want to dance and then he gets up and is groovin!!!” said one comment on mom’s TikTok.

In fact, the overwhelming sentiment in the comments is that her son was shockingly groovy for someone who looked so hesitant.

“Ohh my goodness he can really dance good !!! The best I seen ..your son has stage presence!! Love it” said another.

Her followers loved the scene so much that they filmed another dance video, this time to “Billie Jean”.

Grooving together seems to be something they’re good at.

Good thing their followers like it too!

I hope any girl that junior starts dating appreciates his moves as much as they do!
