If you think dancing is something only old people do then get rid of that thought right now.

Yes, they danced their nights away back then but that’s only because there was no internet back then.

They knew how to have a great time without having the need to call attention to themselves.

Their dancing did all the talking so they had to be really good at it!

This French couple could travel back in time and steal the show.

Maeva Truntzer and William Mauvais have know each other since they were fourteen.

They’re from the south of France and have spent many years dancing Boogie Woogie, for which they were crowned four-time WRRC World Champions.

Then they decided to move on to the Lindy Hop scene while still retaining their own unique style.

Now watching Maeva and William, you would swear the video was set to a faster playback speed. But watch the movements of the others behind them.

They’re just standing there clapping along while these two take the floor.

That’s their actual speed. It’s almost like their feet aren’t touching the floor!

Their official website reads,

“For 12 years now, they have been sharing their passion around the world while remaining true to themselves and to this artistic identity that sets them apart from others. Real professionals, formidable competitors, and especially great lovers of dance, William and Maéva are small in size but great in their generosity. They will make you travel in their world full of humor and fantasy that they are eager to help you discover.”

With all their energy on display, Maeva and William almost look like those really old films that play in fast forward.

The video description calls it Boogie Woogie but it could very well be Lindy Hop with those slick moves.

It’s the high energy that gives it away though it can be argued that both styles are pretty similar.

When William spins her and lifts her up before letting Maeva slide down around him, the audience lets out a collective “Oooh!” and even the other dancers were staring in awe. I was too.

Even this viewer felt the same,

“I’ve never seen a person slide down their partner like she did near the beginning! I’m exhausted just watching.”

It’s a dance that you have to watch with full attention.

Blink once and you miss a whole lot of it.

The video is in color but even if it were in black and white, it would fit perfectly well with this fantastic swing.

There’s that hint of nostalgia about it, and even if you weren’t yet born when the dance first came out, you feel like you were there in those jazz clubs all those decades ago.

All those spins, kicks, and insane acrobatics makes you want to learn the dance. I know I do.

This is pure talent and chemistry. Maeva and William being together all those years sure make for a great show!
