Since the launch of the event, the whole village has been living to the rhythm of the boogie-woogie throughout the four-day duration of the festival.

As it turns out, judging by this performance, it was also a very eventful day for three of the most talented artists in the world to cross paths.

All it took to make a memorable show was a pianist, a dancing couple and some good, old-fashioned boogie-woogie.

Silvan Zingg is a Swiss piano virtuoso who likes to play boogie-woogie, blues and jazz.

He is also the founder of the International Boogie Woogie Festival in Lugano, Switzerland, whereas William Mauvais and Maeva Truntzer are four-time world champions in boogie-woogie dance. Together, they heat up the stage!

Boogie-woogie is commonly danced at a fast pace.

The genre is famous for its fast and spectacular footwork, high energy, and also for its freedom in dance that allows space for improvisation and freestyle.

The step variation for boogie dance is a combination of six and eight counts with sharp, quick movements.

It often makes use of a syncopated beat, which helps to create the constant footwork for which boogie is widely recognized.

At the beginning of the clip, Silvan plays a brisk introduction on the keys.

Then he shifted to the sweet familiar melody of boogie, as the dancing couple held hands while tapping their feet, feeling the beat and rhythm of the piano in their veins.

Then the dancers started to move with lots of twists and turns, their bodies almost entwined with each other.

Their feet were constantly tapping along with the pulse of the piano. They skipped and glided across the stage, setting it ablaze with their performance.

In the midst of it all, the girl suddenly twirls and drops on her back.

They did that step again, but this time the girl is wiggling her upper body whilst being pushed up—while the guy splayed his hand above her mimicking a puppeteer and a puppet.

Their creative moves earned some whistles and cheers from the crowd, who was clearly loving the show! The guy also kept making comical gestures, adding more and more humor to their act.

They also included a tad of acrobatics in their number, such as a cartwheel here and there.

It is really amazing how both of them groove and jive to the tempo of the piece!

The entire time, their feet are in constant motion between steps, stomps, tiptoes and kicks, always keeping their routine interesting. Even so, the whole time they keep their torsos rigid, sustaining proper posture while dancing. It just goes to show how dedicated they are to their craft. This is an example of raw talent fueled by passion and teamwork!
