Cowboy boots. They’re some of the most evocative footwear after crocs (and those weird shoes with individual toes). Iconographically, they make you think of home on the range, of horseback adventures and towns that aren’t big enough for two rugged fellas. Not only do they symbolize the life of the cowboy, but they seem to lend a country swagger to whomever wears them. Basically, nobody’s tip-toeing anywhere in cowboy boots. They’re strictly for stomping bowlegged through saloon doors.
These boots have even been known to inspire some classics country hits!
These songs may rootin’, they may be tootin’ but Brooks & Dunn are more interested in boot scootin’! Specifically their song “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” is just that; a step-worthy tune that makes you want to scoot those boots good! Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn done did it with their 1991 barn-danceable country classic.
And these ladies are ready to scoot their boots!
It’s a charming line-up of line-dancing ladies who strut their country style, stepping all in time to the Brooks & Dunn hit. After the introduction of classic sliding electric guitar and rock style drums, the song kicks in and the ladies kick off. They begin warming up into the dance with some simple toe and heel moves, but don’t you fret, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
Pretty soon they’re kicking up their boots and all stepping in line together.
It’s the kind of performance that makes you wish you were watching it at a corral, with an ice-cold beer and a pound of baby back ribs in front of ya. This is a sure-stepping group of gals, and cowgirls of the purest sort. A gentleman may tip his hat to dancers like these, but these cowgirls remove them like true boot-scooters if it’s part of the choreography.
It’s a real yeehaw (or maybe yeet-haw as the kids are saying).
If you ignore the palates equipment you can imagine seeing this in a true Texas barn! These talented ladies obviously spend a fair amount of time rehearsing their routine as it all seems to come to them as second nature.
With over 7 million views, this routine surely resonates with a lot of people.
Either that or one person likes it so much as to watch this video seven million times. Clearly among the world of line-dancing, this routine has impressed many people, and probably from all over the world. Although there are many versions of line dancing around the world, and many different cultural stamps across the style, this country style is probably the Earth’s most well known.
I do declare, these ladies go there!
With supreme cowgirl confidence, they make you want to get up on your own two feet and step in line. Not only do they know how to step, but they’ve got such charm and charisma that they seem to have been born to boogie cowgirl style.
And with a round of applause we hear the routine wrap up as these girls strike their finishing poses.
