When it comes to music, it’s always amazing to see two talented musicians team up for a collaboration.
That’s exactly what happens in this video when these two famous guitarists play a duet at The Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in New York.

This popular older guitarist teams up with a new sensation to play an incredible rendition of “Guitar Boogie” and “Workin’ Man Blues.”
Tommy Emmanuel (below left) is a seasoned veteran of the guitar world. The Australian musician is known all around the world for his unique fingerstyle technique, and his ability to use his instrument to produce percussion sounds as well. Billy Strings (below right) is a gifted American guitarist who specializes in bluegrass and is quickly blazing his path through social media.
At the beginning of the video, Emmanuel invites Billy Strings on stage and the two briefly talk about the song structure before they both begin tearing it up.
The two expert guitarists waste no time getting into it, standing face to face as they begin to unleash a flurry of complex chords.
Both guitarists play at such a rapid pace, and just keeping up with them becomes a difficult task! Starting with “Guitar Boogie,” Emmanuel and Strings work together while doing a friendly duel at an unreal pace.
These two read each other’s energy the entire time, with giant smiles on their faces to show what a blast they’re having.
Once they bring down the house with their duet of “Guitar Boogie,” Strings and Emmanuel move on to their second song.
That’s when the phenomenal guitarists begin playing “Workin’ Man Blues” by Merle Haggard And The Strangers.
The first song was full of incredible riffs and an electrifying combination of chords, while the second added another awesome layer, with Emmanuel stepping to the mic to sing.
With Billy Strings backing him up, Tommy Emmanuel brings out his one-of-a-kind voice and begins singing the words to “Workin’ Man Blues.”
Emmanuel leads the way on “Workin’ Man Blues,” with Billy Strings jumping in to take the show to another level.
Merle Haggard and the Strangers released “Workin’ Man Blues” in 1969 as a tribute to the bulk of their fan base, who were blue-collar working men. The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot Country Song chart and has been covered by many famous musicians, including Jerry Lee Lewis.
As they get toward the end of their “Workin’ Man Blues” performance, Strings and Emmanuel let loose on their guitars in a frenzy of rapid sounds and outstanding fingerpicking.
In the last minute of the performance, the two pros move their fingers faster than ever before for an extraordinary finish.
It’s only right that new sensation Billy Strings and older guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel finish with a bang, which manifests in the form of some lightning-fast guitar riffs!
People on the internet couldn’t get enough of the dynamic duo and their freakishly fast picking, putting the video well on its way to surpass one million views.
Their rendition of “Guitar Boogie” and “Workin’ Man Blues” has already been viewed over 800,000 times, with thousands more mesmerized by it every day.
