Jumbotron cameras have zoomed in on some very interesting things over time.
We’ve seen people changing their clothes, picking their nose, kissing friends and even getting caught cheating on their spouses.
Today we’ll treat ourselves with an impromptu dance that can cure any sort of bad mood.
Jeremy Fry has set the standard for all fans worldwide.
The guy is a Boston Celtics fan, and that’s not all—he apparently loves the karaoke staple, “Livin’ On A Prayer” so much, that he had to stand up and dance.
It was the Boston Celtics’ 2008-09 season, the team has just won their first championship in 22 years, and TD Garden was bursting with energy.
During a break, Bon Jovi’s hit song “Livin’ On A Prayer” began to play, and everyone started to sing along.
The camera scrolls over happy faces until it stumbles upon a young man sitting next to his mother, and that’s where it stops. So much enthusiasm was written all over his face, and he started to dance. It wasn’t an ordinary dance—it became a worldwide sensation.
It’s unclear if Jeremy knew that he was on the jumbotron or not, but he put on a show to remember.
Fry later revealed that he’s a huge fan of the Celtics, and that he went to his first game when he was seven years old. It became a tradition that led to his 15 minutes of fame.
The guy manages to involve everyone around him in his dance routine!
In an interview Fry gave after the big dance, he revealed that there was no routine.
It was all spontaneous, and he simply seized the moment of pure joy. The video shows Jeremy dancing, twisting around the fence and going up and down the stairs as he sings the song all along.
He even hugs random people in the crowd, and everyone replies with a smile.
People are loving him, and he’s not afraid to light a little spark in everyone in the crowd.
We admit it, the boy seemed like an introvert at first, but he turned out to be an amusing guy who simply wanted everyone to feel as happy as he did. Here is the complete interview after the game.
You’ll see a young guy wearing glasses and a shirt whose modest demeanor will have you loving him even more.
His mother was sitting on her chair during Jeremy’s show, and we loved the look on her face. She simply smiled the whole time—she seems used to him being so joyful. He must be fun around the house.
Fry’s dance sparked an enormous interest in the original song all over again.
“Livin’ On A Prayer” was released in 1986, over three decades ago.
It was Bon Jovi’s first No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, and their second consecutive No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit. The band’s signature song was revived in 2009, when Jeremy became a viral sensation, so much so that the song ended up at No. 25 of the Billboard Hot 100.
Since it was posted, it has earned more than 10 million YouTube views!
The internet has an amazing tendency to loop itself, and that’s why we’re seeing this video today.
We are forever thankful to Jeremy for bringing joy to everyone around him.
