No other song in existence will have a crowd, a bunch of strangers, singing together like Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

In fact, just reading the title probably has the song playing in your mind right now.

Such was the brilliance of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” came about in the 60s, when Freddie Mercury was a student at Ealing Art College.

It all started out as a few ideas for a song written on scraps of paper.

Queen guitarist Brian May remembers the flamboyant singer and songwriter giving him the first glimpse of the song.

“I remember Freddie coming in with loads of bits of paper from his dad’s work, like Post-it notes, and pounding on the piano,” May said in 2008. “He played the piano like most people play the drums. And this song he had was full of gaps where he explained that something operatic would happen here and so on. He’d worked out the harmonies in his head.”

And the rest, was history.

It is a song sang by so many, in karaoke bars, in cars, and just as fans when a brave musician decided to cover the song.

Meet 40 Fingers.

This Italian guitar quartet was born in 2017 made up of four artists with entirely different musical backgrounds.

Just like Queen in a way.

And this instrumental rendition of the classic Queen track will have guitarist Brian May smiling for sure.

40 Fingers play the entire song with their guitars, turning the operatic rock hit into a crisp guitar track that is so impressive to listen to.

Take it from this viewer,

“Wow! Great rendition of that classic, Bohemian Rhapsody by the Queen. I closed my eyes and it was hypnotic. I am 68 years old now and I was 23 when I first heard the original music and I still regard it as one of the greatest musical composition. You got the spirit of the song very well.”

The six-minute song is always worth the time.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” was recorded in 1975 but still sounds so fresh today.

Here’s a fun fact.

Freddie Mercury had supposedly written “Galileo” in honor of Brian May, since the guitarist had a passionate interest in astronomy.

He would later go on to earn a Ph.D. in astrophysics.

And even though this rendition by 40 Fingers had no one singing, you could still hear the words for every string plucked.

This is guitar brilliance!

They are Matteo Brenci, Emanuele Grafitti, Andrea Vittori, and Enrico Maria Milanesi.

Those names are music to the ears, aren’t they?

And the camera work is art in itself, focusing on all four, before going to one guitarist, then moving to feature their fingers working on strings.

Can you do the fandango?
