Some people are just naturals when it comes to live shows.

It’s always incredible to see famous musicians invite excited fans on stage to perform with them, especially when they’re as talented as the young man in this video. Superstar blues musicians, Gary Clark Jr., brings down the house with one lucky fan from the audience who is no slouch on the electric guitar.
What an awesome performance!

This fan from the crowd tears up the stage after Gary Clark Jr., invites him to play in front of the sold-out crowd at The Met Philadelphia.

The Met Philadelphia is a gorgeous music venue, that has been hosting world-renowned artists, comedians, and plays since it was built stately in 1908. back in 2019, Gary Clark Jr. became the latest performer to rock the stage at The Met, but he wasn’t alone.

It was 18th Jeff’s birthday, so he and his friends went to the two and a half hour concert to watch Gary Clark Jr. light his guitar on fire.
You see, Jeff is a musician himself, but I bet he never imagined this would happen!

You can see the excitement fill Jeff’s body after Gary Clark Jr. asks him on stage to see what he’s got.
The crowd cheers on the young musician, who has surely never seen a crowd quite like this one. As Jeff gets ready to play, Gary Clark Jr. grabs a fan’s sign and cracks the crowd up.

Jeff’s friends begin chanting his name before him and Gary Clark Jr. start ripping it up their guitars.
Jeff surprises everyone, proving that he’s a top-notch guitar player at only 18 years old. Gary Clark Jr. lets the young musician take the spotlight for a bit before stepping to the mic and giving the fans what they came to see.

His raspy but sensual voice takes over, putting everyone watching into a blues-trance while Jeff blends right in with the band.
With skills like these, I’m surprised Jeff isn’t playing packed arenas himself!

Nearly 5:25 into the video, Jeff plays a sensational guitar solo that has the crowd going wild.
When Jeff goes off on an intense guitar solo, everyone including Gary Clark Jr. is blown away. At one point, the famous musician throws his head back and laughs as if to say “this kid’s good.”

FROM THE KID IN THAT VIDEO: HEY ALL!!! I am Jeff, the fan in the video. A friend of mine just recently linked this video to me and I am in utter-shock and disbelief over the amount of amazingly kind and generous comments on this video as well as the fact that it has reached 1.5 million views. A true dream of mine came true that night and I never in a million years thought it would garner any attention yet alone this much. It truly warms my heart and makes me feel better about the sometimes non-reassuring career path, music, that I have chosen!
A few things to address:
1. I can confidently tell anyone that has any disbelief, that this was by no means planned at all! I have seen Gary perform many other times. On one occasion I was 13 and he handed me a guitar pic from the stage. Another time in 2016 I met him after a show at The Stone Pony and gave him my hat. He remembered me from that encounter, hence the comment “I don’t still have the hat,” but he had no assured knowledge I can play the guitar. He was being the truly generous person he is and took a chance on me, a chance I will forever be grateful for!
2. Thank you for all the comments, positive or negative, I take them all to heart and hope that each and every comment will only help me further my musicianship!! Although, a few of the comments about my “moving” on stage were a bit harsh, I understand where everyone is coming from and respect your point of view. I, however, was not intending to steal any spotlight or show off. I was nervous and playing with my idol in front of thousands of people. I was simply feeling the music in the same way everyone from Jerry Lee Lewis to Angus Young to Chuck Berry have been known to do. Regardless I still take all criticism to heart and hope to learn from what everyone has to say! If anyone has any questions or comments or even wants to jam or inquire about any music/booking information you can find my email and social media in the “about” section of my channel. I would be more than happy to chat!
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

He was in tune with Gary. Never tried to over power Gary . fully expressed himself without disrespecting Gary. The power of music.
Damn that kid plays like he’s lived a lot longer than he has. Holy crap that kid has the blues in his soul.
