It was a clear, bright afternoon when a group of street performers is seen busking in the city of Belfast.

Amid the fear that COVID-19 has brought to the entire world nowadays, they decided to grace the streets with a refreshing take to the classic blues-rock song “Crossroads” by Cream.

Cream was a British rock band from London in the ’60s.

They were formed by bassist Jack Bruce, guitarist Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker.

They were a renowned rock band who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.

The song “Crossroads” was originally called “Cross Road Blues,” and was written and recorded by artist Robert Johnson in 1936.

It was eventually revived by Cream in 1954 and was popularized to be known as “Crossroads” later on. Fast forward to 2020, and this 85-year old song has clearly has stood the test of time.

It is now being sung on the streets of Belfast!

The electric guitarist roared out its electrifying sound, quickly followed by the head-bopping plucks of the bassist and the drummer’s upbeat rhythm.

After the fabulous intro, the guitarist slightly walked towards the microphone and sang the verses from the classic song.

Watching the bassist coolly handling her instrument while tapping her foot, dancing along with the beat, is just like bringing back the spirit of Jack Bruce to life.

Each of these performers feels like an old soul trapped in a young person’s body.

Moreover, as they went into the instrumental break, the guitarist went all out, passionately driving her fingers over the frets. The rest of the members provided her with stimulating support for the solo as they made their way to the end of the song.

To complement the genre they’re playing, the group transported us to a different timeline with their style as well!

Wearing tight jeans, studded leather jackets and simple glam rock makeup, they are definitely giving us some serious ’60s and ’70s vibes. Although you can’t see the audience’s reactions, you can hear them in the background yelling heartfelt praises as the band rocks the stage.

The group was formed with their common interest in classic rock songs.

Classic rock features rock music ranging generally from the mid-1960s to the 1980s.

Despite their young age, with the youngest member Mamie turning 17 years old this year, this band from Belfast is aiming to revive the rock classics.

They started their band in 2018, but they are clearly doing well as their YouTube channel now has over 21 thousand subscribers.
