Although college is important, it can also be a little bit boring.

When you’re in class day after day, you don’t always have time to talk to your other classmates because everyone’s eyes are focused on the professor, listening and taking notes. For those reasons and others, anything that lightens up the day is much appreciated.

And that’s what the performance in today’s video is all about.

One day, students at Brickfields Asia College in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia had an amazing physics class with a substitute teacher. Although things started off boring, he surprised all of them by showing off his mad skills in beatboxing!

It all happened because lecturers at the school decided to prank their students.

The lecturers at BAC wanted to bring life to their students, so they decided to hire someone who was capable of hyping them up. To pull this off, they decided to bring in a man named Shawn Lee, a famous beatboxer.

Lee wore a tucked-in white shirt with a white belt, slacks, a necktie and glasses. Needless to say, it was perfect to disguise him as a nerdy teacher. He went into the staff room to check on his table before going into his class.

When he entered the classroom, he was just a nerdy college professor.

While holding a piece of paper as his guide, he walked into his class as clumsy as ever, bumping into a chair before heading to the podium. Seeing this, the students can’t help but grin and others even laugh. Others were looking at their mobile devices while others were already tired and bored.

As soon as class starts, they only become even more bored.

Lee introduces himself and the subject that they will be talking about that day: the physics of sound.

He starts by defining what sound is and keeps looking into his guide while talking. The class isn’t very interested, and some people are already yawning.

After ten minutes have passed, Lee announces that the class looks pretty bored—and he decides to turn it all around.

“Guys, I don’t think this is working out. You are not learning anything. So why don’t I explain it to you in a drum form?”

After that, he uses his voice to imitate the sound of a kick, snare and the hi-hat.

The students’ mood changes immediately, and all the uninterested students are suddenly curious. Suddenly, Mr. Lee asks the question: “How many of you guys wanna hear it together?”

Before long, the crowd went wild!
