There’s always competition in dancing, whether playful, friendly, or intense.

And it unfailingly brings out each dancer’s best. Remember all those 90s and early 2000s dance movies? They made dance rivalries so entertaining to watch. After all, there’s no better motivation than coming out as the winner, right?

Dance-offs can take place anywhere, too: a well-lit stage with a flashy backdrop, the backstreets of one’s hometown, a makeshift stage at the park… Name it, each place is a good avenue.

As exciting as it is to watch competitive dance, nothing beats just seeing dancers have a good time as they showcase what they can do.

Because that’s what dancing is truly about, isn’t it? Delighting in art and sharing your passion.

What makes it even more enjoyable to watch is when two good-natured individuals incorporate comedy into it, just like this cowboy and ballerina.

Bruce Wayne Zelaya Jr. is a comedian and content creator. He has over 100K subscribers on YouTube, with videos garnering a whopping total of over 26 million views.

He’s known for his comical facial expressions, crazy wigs, and his aesthetic homage to the Wild West (read: the classic cowboy hat and mustache look).

His content isn’t limited to just mouthing along to hilarious dialogue while making funny faces on TikTok and YouTube.

The comedian, more popularly known as Tio Choko, dances his way into the hearts of his viewers, too! Sort of.

In one of his videos, he takes part in a dance-off with a gorgeous ballerina named Meghan Magoun.

He’s definitely got the costume and confidence down pat, too. Straying from the usual loud music, wacky faces, and sarcastic banter, the comedian (still sporting his cowboy outfit) boldly traded moves with the calm, graceful ballerina.

It was the famous Danse des petits cygnes from the second act of Swan Lake that inspired this entertaining short video which he cleverly captioned “Swan De Choko” on his Instagram page.

As Tchaikovsky’s “Dance of the Swans” played, the pair got ready to take turns showing off their moves.

It was definitely a fun and offbeat number that highlighted Meghan’s dance talent and Tio Choko’s comicality.

The lovely ballerina, poised and ready, performed a series of traditional ballet dance moves.

The comedian, on the other hand, did a little bit of everything: from line dancing footwork to hip hop and street dance, to a bit of ballet and contemporary. He even mirrored some of the ballerina’s steps.

Meghan played up the number by making faces and rolling her eyes as Tio Choko replied to her dancing with his own, while the stark contrast of the comedian’s outfit compared to Meghan’s made the video even funnier.

After all, it’s not everyday you see a cowboy pulling off hip hop and ballet steps to a Swan Lake classic!

But despite the light and silly vibe of the video, you won’t be able to help but notice the mesmerizing way Meghan twirls and moves about.

Her participation definitely balanced out Tio Choko’s act.
