Who doesn’t love the Backstreet Boys?

Ever since they first formed in the early ‘90s, the band has managed to stay in the spotlight. Even after many bands have come and gone (looking at you ‘NSYNC’), BSB is still here.

Unlike many boy bands from the ‘80s and ‘90s, the members of the Backstreet boys actually all could sing.

Some bands only had one member of the group that could sing and the rest were treated like backup members.

But not BSB!

On every album, each member of the band has gotten their chance to shine, ever since 1996’s Backstreet Boys, their debut album.

It is incredible to think that over 22 years after their first album released, the band is still going strong.

They’ve continued to release new music over the years, with only taking a brief official hiatus in 2003. Otherwise, they’ve steadily put out new music and gone on multiple tours over the last two decades. They’ve even had a residency in Las Vegas!

In fact, they have eight studio albums, 28 singles, one live album, three compilation albums, and 25 music videos.

The group is currently working on a new album and their latest single, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” was released in May 2018.

To promote their new music, the team appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

One popular segment on The Tonight Show is making artists sing their songs but using classroom musical instruments.

BSB is just one of the latest artists to be “forced” into doing this by host Jimmy Fallon! Together with The Roots, the band, and Jimmy all piled into a tiny room to perform a BSB hit.

The picked one of the Backstreet Boys biggest hits – “I Want It That Way.” Today, the 1999 song is still considered the band’s biggest commercial song.

Armed with classroom instruments, Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson, and AJ McLean all sat down to perform.

The video was posted on The Tonight Show’s Facebook page and it has since gotten 28 million views, hundreds of comments, and thousands of shares.

On YouTube, the video has over one million views and is on YouTube’s Top 20 Trending List.

One Facebook user wrote:

Still insanely too happy this happened and it makes me smile And I’m sure this was already planned but on twitter when I saw they were gonna be guests I tweeted a few times that this should happen and it did so I feel accomplished anyways.

One YouTube commenter was nostalgic for the days when the song’s original video aired:

I just think it’s so interesting when you see the original music video, how the fangirls can just literally walk up to the plane and freak out. Can’t do that anymore…it’s officially a relic.

While another commenter wrote:

Did not think when I woke up this morning that I would fall asleep tonight listening to a classroom instrument version of I Want it That Way
