Daddy In Laughter Over Baby’s Word For “Ice Cream”
I don’t know where she came up with it, but it’s cuteness overload.

A huge chunk of parenting includes trying to decipher what the baby means. Yes, there are cues that help but when babies start babbling and trying to imitate the words they hear, it becomes both a joy and a challenge for moms and dads all over. Part of these babies’ charm is how their garbled up syllables result in the funniest words.

Sometimes, their babbling sounds a lot like the actual word they’re trying to say but most of the time, it’s all gibberish – the sweetest, cutest kind.

Like how this little doll says “ice cream.”

The adorable way kids mispronounce words is so delightful to grownups that we just can’t help but find ways to get them to repeat it.

The father of this adorable little girl couldn’t resist filming their entire exchange, which mostly consisted of him trying to get her to say “ice cream.”

You’d think she wouldn’t have trouble pronouncing the name of a treat that she probably gets to enjoy often.

But she does, and she doesn’t seem to care at all. In fact, she probably doesn’t understand why her dad finds it so funny.

Like most toddlers, Delta, the little girl, has started to repeat words she hears. In fact, as she sat there, strapped in her car seat, her dad would drop a few words which she in turn would repeat instantly.

“Love.” “Want.” “I.”

“Camtono!”

Cam-to-what?

“Ice cream!” her dad says firmly.

“Camtono!” she answers back confidently.

With the most adorable smile on her face, she looks up at her dad, anticipating the next word. Her mispronunciation of “ice cream”, coupled with the expression on her face, causes her dad to chuckle.

So naturally, dad decides to try again.

“I want ice cream,” he says. And what does little Delta say?

“I want camtono.”

The funny part about this toddler’s word is how it doesn’t even come close to either “ice” or “cream”!

No matter how many times Delta’s dad says “ice cream” clearly, the little girl just keeps casually saying “camtono” with the sweetest grin.

This gives dad another idea.

He decides to sort of break it up.

“Ice,” says dad. “Ice!” repeats Delta.

“Cream,” dad continues. “Cream!” Delta says clearly.

“Ice cream!” dad says triumphantly.

“Camtono!”

So much for going about it one word at a time!

There’s really no concrete explanation as to why Delta’s word for “ice cream” is “camtono”, but there’s no denying how cute it is either.

Dad knows there’s really no use getting her to successfully say “ice cream” but he keeps trying simply because he finds it adorable and can’t resist the smile on his little princess’ face.

“What the heck are you saying?”

Dad laughingly wonders out loud as he racks his brain for more ways to get the words “ice cream” out of her.
