Music has the ability to soothe the soul, especially when it comes from the world-famous tenor, Andrea Bocelli.

Just recently, Andrea released a brand new video for his cover of “Ave Maria” – and by no surprise, it’s touching hearts across the internet! The song is one of the tracks on his album Believe, which hit shelves this past November.

Andrea Bocelli is more than just an incredible opera singer.

While he’s known far and wide for his singing abilities, Andrea’s a proud father as well. He has two sons, Amos and Matteo, from his first marriage – then a young daughter, Virginia, with his wife Veronica.

It’s easy to see that Andrea loves his family very much so. In the past, he’s even paired up with his children for musical projects! Who can forget Andrea and Matteo’s spellbinding rendition of the song “Perfect Symphony?”

One of Andrea’s kids makes an appearance in the “Ave Maria” video. It’s eight-year-old Virginia!

The video was filmed in Loreto, Italy, and begins with the father and daughter walking and holding hands. Also joining the duo is Ukrainian violinist, Anastasiya Petryshak, who plays her instrument in the background.

In a release, he said:

“I don’t consider myself to be a composer, however, I am a musician, and sometimes melodies come to my mind, with essentially complete harmonies… Music that knocks on the door of my soul and which I gladly welcome and then set free by putting pen to paper.”

All of the tracks on Believe are ones that Andrea’s been inspired by throughout his life.

In addition to “Ave Maria,” the artist beautifully covers classics like “Hallelujah,” “Amazing Grace,” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” The songs, such as ‘Mira Il Tuo Popolo,’ beam him back to his childhood in Tuscany.

Andrea shared the following about his album:

“The concept behind ‘Believe’ is based on three words: faith, hope and charity. These are the three theological virtues of Christianity, yet – quite independently of any religious belief – they are also the three extraordinary keys to giving meaning and completeness to the lives of every one of us.”

The Italian opera singer has a voice of pure gold.

Over the years, Andrea has received great praise from some of the world’s most respected musicians. According to Classic FM, Celine Dion once said:

“If God would have a singing voice, he must sound a lot like Andrea Bocelli.”

When Andrea sings “Ave Maria” there’s no question that the results are heavenly. His video, however, takes the song to another level with the glorious backdrop and his sweet daughter Virginia by his side.
