A dance group from Japan called Avantgardey took to the America’s Got Talent stage and blew everyone’s minds with their unique dancing.
It’s a series of moves you wouldn’t believe could be done by a group. Perfectly done in sync!
As if Japan hasn’t had enough amazing contributions to the world already.
The all-female dance group from Osaka appeared on stage in matching outfits and the same hairstyle.
And to be honest, it’s hard to tell each one of them apart, and maybe that’s the idea behind the costumes.
To move as one impressive unit.
Their performance was aired as part of the early release video on AGT’s social media pages.
Avantgardey is founded by Akane, the producer and the choreographer.
The group was founded in February 2022 and they are pretty famous for synchronized dance moves and funny expressions.
They rose to fame after performing with popular American DJ Steve Aoki at one of his concerts in January 2023.
So on the Got Talent stage, Avantgardey proceeded to do the same, exploding in a high energy dance full of short sequences and bursts of quick energy.
It’s a performance you’ll watch again and again just to capture all their moves.

It’s not everyday you will see such precision and coordination from such a big group of dancers.

Dancing to both the beat and the melody, the girls incorporate elements of their culture so quickly that even your brain suddenly goes into remembering all those Japanese cartoons and comics you loved growing up.
Avantgardey brought a taste of Japan, and the flavors are explosive!
A professional choreographer left a comment saying,
“As a professional Choreographer, I have to straight up say, that was so brilliant, so innovative. The commitment from the Dancers, hand down amazing. Thank you Japan! Wonderful job to the choreographer, the time it must have took to put this together. Thank you.”

And as for the judges?
Heidi Klum said, “I really saw your Japanese soul”, while Sofia Vergara added that it was “beyond anything I expected,” calling the dance “something weird that we’ve never seen.”
Howie Mandel just had to thank them with the same dance moves!
“That was genius,” Cowell told the girls. “I’m really, really, really happy you’ve come all the way from Japan to here, so thank you.”
Avantgardey was all smiles but even their exit was funky. We’ll be seeing more of this dance group for sure!
