Everyone has their own favorite parts about the holiday season – and for many, the cheerful music is on the top of the list!
It’s always fun to see popular artists recreate the classics, from Kelly Clarkson to the a capella group Pentatonix. Although they’re still the songs we love – each musician adds their own touch of magic to make them unique.
Andrea Bocelli is a world-famous opera singer who pairs just beautifully with Christmas tunes. He even released an album titled, My Christmas.
Not only did Bocelli take on soul-stirring classics like “Silent Night” and “White Christmas,” but he also covered a loveable children’s song as well. To give you a hint of which one – it helps kids practice good behavior during the Christmas season, reminding them that “you know who” is always watching…
Yep, one of the tracks on his album is “Santa Claus is Coming to Town!” According to the description on Amazon, Bocelli had commented:
“I have long dreamed of recording a holiday album that captures the beautiful traditions of the holiday season. Every year these songs have brought incredible joy to my family and I, and it is my hope to give back that same joy by making this album.”

Renowned Canadian musician, David Foster, was part of the memorable performance as well. But before taking a seat at the piano, he asked Bocelli to describe his Christmases growing up in Italy.
Bocelli responded:
“I think it was not so different to your Christmas – a beautiful Christmas tree, all my family all together, and many songs.”
Bocelli dedicates the whimsical tune to “the kids.”

“Santa Claus is Coming to Town” is the ultimate Christmas tune for little ones, and it’s been around for decades. According to Songfacts, J. Fred Coots and Haven Gillespie wrote it way back in 1932. It then became a hit after Eddie Cantor performed it on his radio program.
Over the years, “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” has been covered by The Jackson 5, Mariah Carey, Michael BublĂ©, and many other artists. But just wait until you hear how amazing it sounds having Andrea Bocelli and a choir of kids sing it!
