We’ve all seen Andrea Bocelli, the singing superstar, grace events, stages, and shows. The internationally acclaimed Italian opera singer and tenor has pefrormed with the very best of them and has stunned audiences worldwide time and time again.

Now let’s see Andrea Bocelli the dad. Shot live at Teatro Regio di Parma, Andrea is joined by his daughter Virginia, and together, dad and daughter sing a rendition of that beloved hit, “Hallelujah“.

Play that secret chord.

Virginia comes out from behind the stage with a guitar in her hand. She approaches her dad and the two have a brief exchange in Italian before the legendary tenor takes the guitar, sits on the stage floor with his daughter and begins to play.

The place is filled with candles and as he begins to pluck the signature intro on those strings, the theater illuminated by that yellow glow suddenly comes alive with the Bocellis’ love for music.

It’s only been ten days since posting but this father and daughter duet has already garnered over 3.3 million views.

Little Virginia starts it off with that Bocelli confidence ever so present.

“I’ve heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don’t really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this: the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah”

Where her dad is an elegant man who is ever so gentle yet powerful, Virginia is very much a little girl. Soft, delicate, but beautiful with an air of that grace her father carries.

To drive that point home, good old dad takes the second verse and sings it in Italian,

“La fede mia mi abbandonò. Si perse ma si ritrovò. Perché smarrito sempre la cercai. Bellezza, incanto e nostalgia. Ferirono la mente mia. Che in lacrime gridava un Hallelujah”

And he takes the “Hallelujah” and sprinkles a bit of that Bocelli magic on top too.

Dad is playing the guitar as well!

An orchestra comes in, accompanying Andrea and Virginia but really, all you want to hear are those voices.

“I wish this song could last for ever..father and his daughter singing together, so beautiful my God.”

There is a touch of the divine in those voices and a song like this only brings out that fact even further. Andrea begins to show off those amazing pipes and not even that orchestra can match the man’s insane vocals.

Virginia sings along with her father, and you can bet she’s incredibly proud of him.

They may be inside a theater but the streets of Parma surely felt the magic coming from within. There is that adorable bond of a father and his daughter present, and the duo unleash their talents as a team showing the world that talent does run in the family.

Virginia looks to be following in her father’s footsteps. Those are big shoes to fill but she is a Bocelli and that in itself is worth watching and waiting for.
