It is not unusual to see young children singing or dancing, and generally taking up different kinds of artistic hobbies.
But having a special talent for these arts is not something we see every day.
And when this talent does exist, it is beautiful to see children perform.
Like in the case of young singer Amira Willighagen from the Netherlands.

Amira first showed her talent in singing when she was nine.
In fact, it was her brother who was playing violin at the time, and she thought she could do something as well, so she figured she might be good at singing.
So, she looked up beautiful opera songs on the internet and found some that she could actually sing herself.
In 2013, Amira won Holland’s Got Talent singing “Nessun Dorma,” at the age of 9.
Since then, she has not stopped working hard to improve her singing skills and she has also been traveling around the world performing opera songs with some of the most famous orchestra directors.
Indicatively, she has performed in the USA, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, and South Africa, among other countries.

With her mother being from South Africa, as a child, Amira used to travel a lot to Johannesburg to see her grandmother.
That’s when she was taken to the township Ikageng in Potchefstroom, where children had nothing to play with.
At a very young age, Amira decided that if she ever got the chance, she would help those children.
Indeed, when she became famous, she started a charity project through which she helps people build playgrounds in South Africa to make children there happy.

To this day, the now 18-year-old opera singer travels around the world to perform for audiences who love her voice and the kind of music she represents.
In 2015, she sang in Madrid, Spain, at a Christmas concert.
The young artist sang “Ave Maria”, wowing the audience that had the opportunity to watch her performance.
Her beautiful voice feels as if the song is being sung by a much older and more mature singer.
Watching her perform is a pleasure since she puts so much passion into her rendition of the song that one can’t remain untouched by it.
The performance has been uploaded on Amira’s official YouTube channel, and people have absolutely loved it.
So far it has been viewed by more than half a million people and hundreds have commented below it, praising the young girl for her amazing voice.
“Amira has clearly put in lots of practice and time to be as good as she can be. She ought to be commended for her work developing her gift for our enjoyment,” someone wrote.
The teen is also active on social media where she shares some of her performances, and by no surprise, she has many adoring fans.
Amira definitely has a bright future ahead of her and we can’t wait to see what her next step in music will be.
