Elvis was that kind of person, a man who was born to perform.

Alyssa Baker, the girl in this video, is also an excellent musician. A Canadian singer-songwriter with an angelic voice began to pave her way in the music industry when she was 14. Alyssa is all about choosing a great song and then turning it into an acoustic gem. That’s what she’s done here, and we love the result.

Alyssa describes her work as a “moody, dream-pop, with hints of electronica.”

In all, she gave a contemporary touch to a song that’s over a half-century old.

“Can’t Help Falling in Love” was released in 1961, and it was initially written for a woman.

The authors had the idea to name the song “Can’t Help Falling in Love with Him,” but it wasn’t meant to be. Alyssa is surely a perfect person to correct it. Her beautiful vocals blend with the song perfectly, she owned the song and gave it the vibe and sound of a woman in love.

The video is quite simple: we see Alyssa in the studio with her headphones on, singing and enjoying herself.

No autotune, no special effects, no costumes or anything of the kind. You’re left with a pure and simple voice of a young woman who sings with a heavenly voice, and it doesn’t get much better than that. The girl sings the song with true emotion, and that’s what makes it even more beautiful. A good artist can articulate their skill. Elvis would be proud of this young lady who made an unexpected lovely and priceless cover.

Alyssa will have you listening to every word as if it was the first time you’ve heard the song.

We got goosebumps—there’s some undeniable magic in her voice!

The young lady brought so much hope, passion and love to her version, and it touches you in a different way than the original does. The way she sings it in her style without exaggerating or over-doing the lyrics is captivating and completely mesmerizing.

What we loved most is that both piano and Alyssa’s voice are in no hurry.

She takes her time, and words simply come out perfectly.

Elvis Presley’s version of the song topped the British charts in 1962, peaked in the United States at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 and got certified Platinum.

It’s also the last song Elvis performed live at his concert in Indianapolis in 1977. Sunderland A.F.C. fans have turned the song into the club’s anthem. It seems like everyone loves the track, which is perfectly understandable. We loved what Alyssa did with it, and we wish her the best of luck with her future projects. Her music should be a great success, considering her enormous talent, and a beautiful voice.
