Allie Sherlock might only be fifteen years old, but her voice can rival any adult singer.
Allie Sherlock performed a cover of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s duet “Shallow” on the streets of Ireland. Her gorgeous voice, with only her guitar to back up her singing, stopped many shoppers on the street to get a glimpse of her talent. Her performance will blow you away.
Allie Sherlock got her first taste of fame when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show at the age of twelve. Ellen had watched a video of Allie busking, playing music on the street, and wanted her on her show immediately. The video was Allie singing “Supermarket Flowers”, by Ed Sheeran, on the streets of Dublin, Ireland. Allie performed “Million Years Ago”, by Adele, for Ellen.
Allie Sherlock was signed to a record label a year later, at the age of thirteen.
Allie told Ellen DeGeneres that she started singing, “Three years ago and I’ve been playing guitar three and a half years ago.”
Allie has been singing and playing the guitar since she was nine years old.
Allie Sherlock might have signed a record deal, but she is not straying away from her roots of busking.
Allie has continued to sing on the streets of Ireland for anyone who is passing by. Her amazing voice does not let many people walk by without stopping to hear her sing. Throughout her performance, her crowd continues to grow. Many are filming her themselves, to remember such a voice, while others watch on in awe.
It takes a lot of courage for a musician to busk on the streets, especially for a young adult.
Allie had to beg her father to let her busk on the streets of Ireland. Once he did, there was no looking back for Allie. Music must be a part of her soul because she sings from the heart. Lady Gaga and Adele are artists that many do not cover because their talent is hard to cover, but not to Allie Sherlock.
