A school’s sports event doesn’t just hold ball events like volleyball and basketball but also performances from students.
Some students sing and dance, but usually, some do both, and that’s what the talented all-girls drill team of Dodge City High School in Kansas does.
When you plan to do a slow and solemn performance, may it be singing or dancing, the song “Hallelujah” from the late Leonard Cohen is a great choice.
The all-girls drill team of Dodge City High School was wearing all white from head to toe. It seemed like they were about to bring the heavens from above down to Earth using their performance.
In a video shared online, the team owned the center court. One girl started singing a famous song, soon joined by two others, while the rest danced alongside. It was a simple, yet engaging performance.
The girls wore eye-catching costumes—light up crowns and capes that turned into wings. Their outfits stole the spotlight.
Angels or butterflies?
When the lights suddenly went out, the crowd witnessed the uniqueness of the show.
The music swiftly changed from a gentle ballad to a remix, and the girls’ costumes illuminated, transforming the dance into a mesmerizing light display.
Once the lights dimmed, the dance underwent a complete transformation—far from ordinary! The transitions from their routine were beyond compare and it completely stole the show.
It became an extraordinary spectacle that has since been shared thousands of times on social media.
The video of their performance amassed over 1.7 million views with over a thousand comments from people who were completely amazed by the routine.
Some of them were actually convinced that the Dodge City High School Drill Team should perform on a bigger stage such as the Super Bowl.
