When the music moves you, you can’t deny it. You just have to give in and let go. Those toes might start tapping to the beat, but the next thing you know, your whole body is grooving.
Bumping beats at bars from techno or electric music draw a crowd out on the dance floor jumping up and down. Country swing songs lure couples into the spotlight to spin and twirl all around.
And salsa music get those hips swaying so much so that it doesn’t matter where you’re at … the bar or even on top of a kitchen counter … you just have to dance!
Emma Teran loves to dance and adores her daddy, so it’s the perfect combination when he scoops her up in his arms and plunks her down on the family home’s kitchen counter for a darling daddy-daughter dance-off.
Mom Paola walked into the kitchen, drawn by the giggles and music, wondering what on earth was up. She couldn’t have imaged what she walked in on.
She spied her baby girl grooving with her daddy … on the kitchen counter!
Paola whipped out her phone and recorded this precious interaction between a daddy who loves his baby girl and a daughter who adores her daddy. Her caption captured it perfectly.
“I’m a princess not because I have a prince, but because my father is a king!”
It seems Emma has inherited her daddy’s smooth moves, because she is shaking and shimmying in her Mickey Mouse pajamas.
The Georgia girl grins at her poppa while they dance together at times and square off in a dance-off at other points.
Salsa is described as a sexy, energetic and fun partner dance. Unlike some types of partner dances, it is a very sociable dance and, as Emma and her dad show, you don’t need to have a regular partner.
Even sporadic dance sessions in the kitchen will work!
There are three main styles of salsa dancing: crossbody, which is the modern style; Cuban; and Columbian. Emma’s too young to know this, but salsa dancing has roots dating back to the 1800s.
American soldiers discovered it during the Cuban war and jazz musicians flocked to Cuba so they could incorporate Latin styles into their performances.
The way this pint-sized princess shimmies those shoulders and wiggles those hips have us grinning! She even tries to sing along with the words.
You can tell this baby doll was destined to salsa dance by how naturally this comes to her. She is the absolute cutest thing!
We’re not the only one who thinks so, too. The comments on Paola’s post agree!
“She is so tiny and dances like an adult!”
“Just too cute!”
“How adorable!”

This isn’t Emma’s only countertop dance. There’s another video Paola posted on her account where the tiny tyke is really feeling the music.
She barrel rolls her arms, points at dad while singing and really dips low and gets into it.
Emma definitely has all the moves!
Paola’s first video of Emma salsa dancing has gone viral, being viewed hundreds of thousands of times and it’s no wonder! Emma is so darn cute and she and her dad have all the right moves.
Their nighttime kitchen dance party will put you in a fantastic mood! Watch the video below and you just might find yourself dancing in your seat.
