Do you have an all-time favorite audition from the Got Talent franchise?
For anyone who doesn’t know already, the Got Talent shows air all around the world, though the version that most people likely know is America’s Got Talent.
Regardless, the entire franchise has helped all kinds of unrecognized talents find their way to a national (and sometimes, international) stage. Although not everyone can be the ultimate winner on these shows, just appearing on the main stage gives everyone a huge lift.
Still, it’s not every day you see a contestant as adorable as this one!
Although there are plenty of singing and dancing contestants on these shows, few of them are as young as Isaac Brown is!
As the clip begins, little Brown walks out on stage to greet the judges. Like they do with all their guests, the three judges greet him kindly. Without missing a beat, he replies:
“Hi, what’s your guys’ name?”
At this, the entire crowd laughs.
After a moment, Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne and Howard Stern all introduce themselves down the line.
Once he hears everyone’s first names, little Brown shakes his head a little bit. “Your guys’ names all sound the same!” After that, the crowd is even more on his side than before. After a little more discussion about parents naming their kids whatever they want, they finally get around to getting Brown’s name. At the end of it all, Brown speaks again: “We’ve got it all settled!”
At the end of everything, Brown finally announces that he’s going to be singing and dancing for the judges.
Finally, he starts into the cutest rendition of “I Want You Back” by the Jackson 5 that we’ve ever seen.
Even though he’s only six years old, Brown clearly has all the confidence of a contestant at least three times his age! As he starts his performance, the audience immediately starts clapping behind him as he shimmies and slides just like the Jackson 5 did back in the ‘60s and ‘70s. Because he’s so young, Brown’s voice is a great fit for the young Michael Jackson’s vocals as well!
While it’s clear that he’s still young, his performance is the cutest thing we’ve ever seen.
At the end of his singing and dancing, the whole crowd gets on their feet to applaud.
Although Brown made it through the initial evaluation and onto the Vegas round, he was eventually eliminated from the competition that year. Needless to say, he was still a very young contestant and not ready for the final stages of the show despite his intense enthusiasm. As it turns out, though, Brown’s career has gone in a new direction as he’s gotten older.
Instead of relying on singing and dancing, Brown has been in all kinds of movies!
For anyone who doesn’t already know, Brown has more than 40 movie and television credits to his name—and he’s just getting started.
Some of his more prominent roles were on shows like How To Get Away With Murder, Black-ish and Raven’s Home on the Disney channel. Needless to say, Brown’s story shows that going on these talent shows and winning isn’t always the end goal. Sometimes, these shows can be a platform to showcase a great personality—and a way to propel yourself to even greater success! Without a doubt, we can expect great things from this adorable little guy.
