Country songs have proven to be a great match for any line dancing choreography, and over a dozen line dances were created during the 1980s for country songs.
Some of those include The Cowboy Cha Cha, Electric Slide, Tango with The Sheriff, Tush Push and several others. Even so, they’re clearly still popular today!
How about we see the way a Brazilian country group delivers some moves?
For those who don’t know, the Comanches Country Show members have been gracing the scene since 1997, when the popular Brazilian dance group first appeared on stage. The group’s story begins in Sao Paolo municipality called Indaiatuba. Zito, a professional dancer and choreographer, decided that it was time to unite people who share the same passion for country line dance, and the project kicked off.
Today, Comanches Country Show has several world tours behind them, and are the most recognizable act of its kind in Brazil.
Here we see a video of their 2016 performance at the Brazilian Country Festival.
At first the curtain is down, and you can only see pairs of cowboy boots waiting to do some magic.
Soon the curtain lifts, and ten dancers appear on stage.
The outfits are on point: cowboy hats, shirts, belts with big buckles and jeans. We felt the Wild West vibes right away! The routine begins simply. To the sound of music from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, all the dancers move slowly, preparing the audience for the grand moment.
The crowd seems to be eating it up, cheering and screaming along the way!
You can almost see the excitement in the air before the song changes to “Summertime Blues,” and things quicken up a bit. The dancers divide into two lines, and their impeccable dance moves stun everyone. Two lovely ladies are at the front of both dance lines, and they all dance like there’s no tomorrow.
The leg work is impressive, but the jaw-dropping part starts when they begin to spin, jump and do salto moves!
There’s some heel digging, a little more jazz box and a lot of vine move.
We’re impressed by how synchronized they all are—it must have taken months of practice to be this good! These ten dancers look like they’re all moving at the same time.
A lot of YouTube viewers gave comments of support and admiration.
Because this is a Brazilian dance group, a lot of the comments are in foreign languages, but we completely understand the positive reactions all the same. After all, you have to show some appreciation where it’s deserved!
The song makes you fall in love with country music.
We’re guessing that everyone felt proud to see these talented people honoring the tradition. The best part of it all is that they all are different ages! Whether we’re talking about young people or the elderly, everyone enjoys fancy moves like these.
Since the clip was posted, it has earned more than seven million YouTube views.
Comanches Country Show group has thousands of followers on Instagram, and more than 200 people are currently active members of the group.
Beyond that, more than 20,700 fans are subscribed to their YouTube channel!
