The infamous snow queen from Disney’s film, Frozen, was an instant hit with its generation. Elsa is every girl out there, full of anxiety and worry of whether she’s weird or will fit in. Until she let’s go. And she really did “Let it go“.
Suddenly, every girl identified with the snow queen, and it didn’t matter where they were in the planet. They sang their hearts out along with Idina Menzel’s voice. This song was everywhere.
Elsa costumes were in demand and Frozen themed parties and events were all the craze.
Even this five-yea-old ice skater channeled her inner Elsa.
This was during Skate Asia Proof that even though Frozen was several years old, it still resounded in the hearts of little girls everywhere. Including this young lady here.
She comes out with a set of stairs, pushing her prop towards the ice before she skates out herself in front of the crowd. Little Elsa strikes a pose and finally, that familiar intro comes on.
A little pirouette on the ice, a spin here, and a few poses there and Elsa the skater finally hits her stride, skating out while stretching her arms alternately as if unleashing her powers.
The backstory is that Elsa was born with the power of ice and snow. She is the firstborn daughter of King Agnarr and Queen Iduna, the older sister of Queen Anna, and the former queen of Arendelle. Elsa feared that her powers were monstrous and this went on throughout most of her early years.
She then went on to isolate herself from the world as a means of protecting her family and kingdom.
Elsa’s anxieties would trigger a curse that plunged Arendelle into an eternal winter. Through her sister’s love, Elsa was finally able to control her powers and live peacefully with her people. Ice cold confidence!
This little skater certainly doesn’t think her powers on the ice are dangerous. In fact, she’s so comfortable on the ice that you can see her singing along as she executes her routine!
Let it all go and fly, little Elsa!
Impressive control on skates too. There are lots of adults out there who can’t even stand on skates. Or when they do, it’s butt meets the floor. Count me in on that. This five year old’s got amazing control for someone her age.
She’s got over 5.1 million views and I’m guessing most of those were from the people of Arendelle.
Where Elsa was afraid to use her powers and to even develop them, this little skater wants nothing but to improve and hone her skills even more. The ice is hers for the taking, and no amount of negativity can stop her.
That’s not to say that she won’t have her share of struggles. But this ice skater’s got the fortitude to push on and eventually become queen of the ice rink.
