Technically, there are two Detty Sisters, even though the Detty family of southern Ohio has 4 young girls. But that’s only if you’re counting the girls on the album covers.

Peyton is 11 years old, Caidence (or Cadie) is 9 years old, Lily is 5, and little Sophia (who the family also calls “Curly”) is just 3.

But the younger sisters appear ready to join the family band immediately, so the group may grow to 4.

The Detty family are evangelical Christians who say the girls got started singing in their “home church” before being called to do bigger things.

“In August of 2018 the Lord called us to do something a little different and way out of our comfort zone. He said what we are doing at our church and in our home, I want you to share it with the world. That is exactly what we began to do,” their parents explained on their website.

They claim they can hardly keep up with their bookings and requests for their CDs these days.

Now all of their performative moments have been memorialized on a YouTube page presumably run by their parents.

In a video from last May, the family recorded a solo performance – this one by young Lily, who sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” at her pre-school graduation. The clip has been viewed nearly 60,000 times since being uploaded.

And not only is it adorable, but it reminds us just how young 5 years old really is!

As the video begins, her teachers pull out a tiny podium (or we suppose you could call it a “stage”) for Lily to stand on for her performance.

Over two dozen children and a few teachers stand behind her as she climbs the steps, is handed the microphone, and solemnly sings the national anthem.

Despite having lots of experience singing in front of crowds, this solo performance has Lily Detty a little nervous as she tugs at her long, flowered dress and twists while singing the words.

But like a true performer, Lily has her hand on her stomach to push up her diaphragm and belt out those lyrics.

Meanwhile, her classmates have their hands over their hearts as they look on.

She adds a little sass to the song, no doubt because she’s heard her older sisters riff on their covers in the past.

After her performance, she gently puts down the microphone and retakes her place with her classmates who applaud her with the audience.

As she appears to get kudos from a young boy standing next to her, she beams at the video camera, every bit the trained performer.

It looks like the youngest daughters are becoming fully-fledged band members as time goes by (and it looks like mom steps in every now and then as well!).

Their ministry is practiced through music, as their website explains:

“We are now booking months in advance all around the country and all the glory goes to God! …God is opening many doors for our ministry. We love to share the gospel of Jesus, and seeing souls saved!”

While they were touring well into March, their future tour dates have been put on hold while the country shuts down almost entirely.

The most recent message they shared on their Facebook page addressed this:

“We are praying for our nation!!!! Let’s come together in unity, there is power in prayer & power in the name of Jesus!!!! ❤️❤️-The Detty Sisters”
