Oscar Donnelly is only four years old in this video. He started dancing when he was three, and since then has alerted the world to his diminutive presence. Sure, he’s small but the little guy from North Lanarkshire is a star in the making. An Irish star that lights up televisions.
Oscar started competing with his mom’s full support and since then has dazzled audiences with performances such as these. Look how small he is! But more importantly, look how he moves!
The kid is a natural.
Here’s Oscar competing in the Kilkenny races dancing at a speed of 110 beats per minute. Now it doesn’t seem impressive when reading this but this terminology relates to the actual speed of the step dance. A speed normally associated with teenage dancers. So the fact that this four year old is attempting the dance says a lot about his talent.
Look at his feet.
Before we talk about his footwork, you should know that little Oscar Donnelly is wearing hard shoes. Those Irish dancing jig shoes are normally worn by the more seasoned dancers. Kids his age are made to wear soft shoes. Those are tiny feet!
Oscar’s pose says it all.
The Irish music comes on and the little dancer waits a bit before launching in to a sensational display of step dancing. All eyes are on the Irish sensation as he taps and twirls around the dance floor. It would have been so cute if he wore a leprechaun costume!
It’s a pink and black attack!
The moms and their daughters need to step their game up. He’s four. Imagine what Oscar will be like ten, twenty years down the road. Oh and this isn’t his first time either. Oscar started in 2015 and by 2017 has 40 trophies under his tiny belt.
You can here his little tapping feet striking the ground along with the melody. A viewer says,
“When a 4 year old is a better dance than you will ever be.”
In fact, Oscar’s been on Britain’s Got Talent. He found himself dancing for Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams, and Alesha Dixon. When asked what he would do with the money if he won, the little boy responded by saying he’d buy a Bugatti. He got sweet smiles from everyone.
Show them, Oscar!
He faces his female competitors and they stare in awe at this little tap dancing machine who has stunned many audiences and melted hearts with his innocent little boy charm. This is a walk in the park for Oscar. It’s something he loves doing and it shows.
The future is his.
In fact, his mother Annie Walters says it’s not just Irish dancing her son loves. Oscar has excellent understanding of rhythm and timing, with his little boy senses very much in tune to whatever music and dance he is exposed to.
Oscar is still very much a kid. He will be enjoying all the games and parties that are coming his way but he’s got the talent, so why not win a few trophies and save up some money? There’s a Bugatti waiting for him. All he has to do is to step lively. It’s natural anyway.
