Michael Jackson’s live performances were truly iconic, and he will forever be remembered for some impressive dance moves.
King of Pop remains a legend, and it’s only natural that numerous artists pay tribute to MJ’s act by impersonating him. Some are so professional that fans often scratch their heads and can’t believe their eyes. We bring you one of the youngest fans of Michael Jackson, a four-year-old boy from China whose dancing will leave you speechless.
Wang Yiming, also known as Xiao Bao or “Little Treasure,” surprised the audience when he appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ show with some fancy footwork.
Almost a year after Michael Jackson passed away, a little boy from China proved that what MJ left behind will live on forever. It was Wang’s debut television performance in the United States.
The boy comes into the studio dressed like Michael Jackson, complete with the hat and sequined jacket.
He hugs Ellen and gives her candy.
Because the boy doesn’t speak English, there is also a translator to make the smooth the conversation. Ellen tries to say “thank you” in Chinese, but it turned out funny.
To teach the boy some English, Ellen tells him to repeat the sentence “I am the boss of America,” and the audience bursts out laughing.
When asked who is his favorite dancer, the cute little boy replies with his baby voice and says “Michael Jigson.”
Let’s assume that however it is pronounced in different parts of the world, one thing is certain: everyone knows who Michael Jackson was!
“Even before I was born, I would listen to music and dance in my mom’s stomach,” said Xiao Bao. The wonderful boy was born prematurely, and doctors suggested moving his limbs to music as a form of therapy. His parents were there to help him, and they often took him to dance classes.
The goal was to strengthen his weak muscles, and a miracle happened along the way.
Not only did he pick up various routines during the first class, but he continued to practice more every day. By the time he was two, he had already mastered the moonwalk and many of Jackson’s other signature moves. The boy might be young, but he’s very mature when it comes to his career.
He practices every day, and his parents spend up to $3,000 a month on dance training and outfits.
However, as popular as their song is, their main goal is to give him a proper education. If we may notice, those are some great parenting goals! When he begins to dance, you can hear a loud wow from the audience. After a brief conversation with the boy, Ellen says that it’s time for him to show some of his moves. Then the music goes on.
“Dangerous” is the song of choice, and the little gentleman leaves everyone in awe.
He’s full of rhythm, with precise moves and incredible timing.
The boy’s got some skills, and it’s hard to comprehend that he’s only four years old!
Today, Wang is a dedicated dancer who often performs as an impersonator, but spends most of his time at school.
His parents must be very proud of him. The King of Pop is so beloved in China that the country’s officials are planning to build a small version of his Neverland Ranch on Shanghai’s Chongming Island as a tribute to him.
The original Neverland is valued at $33 million.
Of course, the one thing that truly matters is spreading love and compassion across the world, and we hope that everyone will acknowledge that as MJ’s greatest legacy.
