Being a good dancer takes a lot of time, skill, and practice, but if you’re willing to put in the hard work, the results can be incredible! It must feel phenomenal to glide across the floor with elegance and grace, especially when a whole bunch of people are cheering you on from the sidelines.
Many people think you need years of experience to truly become a top class dancer and build up the courage to perform in front of others, but this little girl is proving that even kids can own the dancefloor with their smooth moves and skillful legs.
She was only four years old at the time this video was made, but wowed the assembled crowd with a performance they’ll never forget.
As the video begins, the precious little one named Lucy is standing at the back of the dancefloor, while the host for the evening introduces her.
The host explains that even though the girl may look just like any other kid of her age, she’s actually a very special little lady who had already won two dancing trophies and six medals!
Lucy answers the host’s questions and tugs on her skirt, looking a little nervous and awkward at first, but there’s no need to worry – all of those nerves are about to fade away once the music kicks in!
The host finishes off the introduction by saying that the girl will be performing one of four dances she’s already mastered, adding “We might have a future world champion on our hands!”,
Moments later, the music begins. A jaunty Irish tune begins to play as Lucy slowly counts herself in and then launches into her performance.
And wow, what a performance it is!
The audience claps in time with the tune as the little one lifts her legs up high and hops around from side to side.
Landing gracefully right on the balls of her feet and keeping her legs nice and straight as she kicks them into the air, Lucy shows us exactly why she’s considered such a talented youngster and has already won all those awards.
She may have looked a little sheepish at first, but on the dancefloor, she seems so confident in her abilities, almost seeming to ignore everyone else around her and focus purely and simply on her movements.
The dance doesn’t last for too long, but it’s still a joy to behold as the young girl kicks and shuffles around, all over the floor.
The crowd, meanwhile, just can’t get enough of her smooth moves, and we can only imagine that many of them were quite surprised to see such talent in such a little body.
Even most fully-grown adults would struggle with a routine like that, but this little dancer pulls the whole thing off to perfection. When she’s done, Lucy strides back to the starting point and gives the crowd a little bow as several people stand up to applaud her.
