Joropo is not an easy dance. Also known as “musica llanera”, it involves a fast and strong choreography. Dancing it can feel like cracking the floor with your feet, particularly if you’re not skilled or trained to perform the national dance of Venezuela.

Two 3-year-olds proved that age doesn’t matter when it comes to performing Joropo.

The pair confidently stepped in front of the crowd.

They greeted the judges first with a bow. When the music started, they showed off their moves right away. They started twirling and moving around with precision and accuracy.

They were so focused!

You can tell how dedicated they were just by looking at their faces. They looked super serious. They didn’t even smile. They maintained eye contact throughout the performance as if trying to keep track of each other’s movements.

The pair didn’t lose track.

They were accurate when performing the steps. They turned at the right moment and bowed at the right time. It’s hard not to feel amazed by how fast their little feet were moving. They didn’t miss even a single beat!

Their moves kept getting faster.

The twirling movements and waltz-like steps weren’t the hardest part of their performance. The highlight of the show was the part they faced each other and clasped their hands together.

With that position, they delivered a series of tiny but lively kicks that went faster and faster. The audience loved their moves. They roared as the dancers kicked their tiny feet away.

They showed no hint of exhaustion.

Watching them move around is tiring. But these 3-year-olds clearly possess a lot of energy. Even as the music went faster, they didn’t have a hard time keeping up. The way they pull off this kind of routine is just amazing.

They’re clearly trained to perform Joropo.

The dance is difficult if you’re not an expert or if your feet don’t possess a good amount of skill and agility. The ability to deliver strong and rhythmical steps with your feet takes practice.

Joropo has this energetic and forceful intensity that can make you feel like you’re in a rush. For a person to be able to perform the dance flawlessly, hours of training and practice are necessary. And considering the performance, these kids clearly didn’t memorize the steps or became familiar with the pace and music overnight.

The pair’s performance has over 9 million views on YouTube.

Another one said:

The kids may be young and small but they’re insanely talented. They danced their hearts out and the audience felt glad they did.
