Little boy with a BIG musical heart

Doug Cameron surprised the crowd during a break in his performance when he called on his adorable three-year-old son, Sean, to join him on stage.

“I’m a proud father, what can I say? I hope you don’t mind that I show him off,”

said Doug in the announcement of his son.

His words were followed by a resounding “aww” and applause from the crowd as soon as little Sean appeared on the stage. Sean walked across the stage, looking dashing in a black suit and armed with a tiny violin in one hand and a bow in the other.

His father held the mic for him. As soon as Sean said hello into it, every heart in the crowd melted at his sweet voice. The three-year-old was adamant that he was six years old and had the crowd in stitches with the adorable banter between him and his dad.

It was at this point that Sean said that he would be helping his father out with the “Orange Blossom Special” and the crowd was eager to hear what he could do.

After Doug helped Sean to correctly position his violin under his chin and turned him to face the audience, between giggles from the crowd, Sean was now ready to deliver on his promise.

From “aww” to awestruck

Doug began the country rhythm on his electric violin as little Sean followed suit on his tiny violin.

The audience first responded with a few giggles and clapped along to the rhythm, but after a while, they fell silent.

The three-year-old could be seen swiping his bow across the violin strings with the greatest of comfort, following after his father and keeping a keen eye on him for guidance throughout the performance.

It would appear that music runs in the family

The Cameron family are no novices around the violin. Doug Cameron himself has been playing the violin since the tender age of five. His two sons, Alex and Sean, have inherited the same love.

Doug grew up in New York and was already playing in the New York State Youth Orchestra while still in grammar school!

His two sons frequently perform alongside their father in his shows. Alex began his training from the age of four while Sean, as can be seen from the video above, started at the young age of three.

One thing beyond the music that has to be admired is the love and dedication that Doug gives to his sons. It is impossible to ignore during their performances with him.
