What’s cuter than watching a small child go on stage to do a dance performance? Well, not much. And one little girl named Roxy Brennan proved that point in 2017 while performing to the song, “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” from the Cinderella soundtrack.
Thankfully, it was all captured on video. Once uploaded to social media, it didn’t take long for it to go viral. So far, the video has garnered more than 680,000 views, as well as tons of positive comments. Let’s just say this three-year-old girl showed the audience what dance is all about.
A rising star
Okay, so Roxy is only three but you’d never know it by watching her perform. All moms and dads think their child does the best job… that’s just a part of being a good parent. But if you’ve ever been to a children’s dance performance before, there’s a good chance that one child, in particular, caught your attention.
A little shy
When Roxy first walks on stage, that’s what she looks like, shy. Dressed in an adorable light blue costume with her hair in an updo, she appears quite demure. Then the music starts and any hint of shyness completely disappears.
Cute as a button
Some kids just have natural talent and Roxy is one of them. Not only does she beam with confidence but she has a magical way of connecting with the audience. Throughout the routine, she hits every move while maintaining perfect rhythm.
Tiny but mighty
Remember, this tiny dancer is only three years old. Some kids at this age aren’t even potty trained, so, putting things into perspective, she nailed her routine. Some of the moves are what you’d expect to see older girls do.
Poised beyond her years
Sure, there are times during the video that you can tell she’s a very young dancer. On the other hand, she does things that make her look far more mature than her age. When you combine the two, it’s easy to understand why the audience was so enamored with her performance.
Oh, that face
If you’ve ever been a dance mom or know of someone who has, everyone agrees one of the hardest things for dancers of any age to learn is facial expressions. But as you can see. Roxy excels in that area too. During the routine, she switches up her expressions to coincide with the words of the song.
The audience can’t get enough
During the two-minute dance performance, all eyes are glued on her. Whoever choreographed her dance did an amazing job. They added just the right number of tough elements to the routine to make it mesmerizing but without taking away its innocence.
Cheers galore
The more Roxy does the more the audience appreciates her. At one point, she does a relatively difficult move. That’s when cheers erupt.
She’s going places
If Roxy is this good at just three years old, you can only imagine how fantastic she’ll become with age. With moves like hers and a smile that lights up the room, she’s going places. Hopefully, she’ll stay with dance so people can follow her success.
