Kids’ brains are like sponges. Learning and retaining new skills is part of growing up.
Youngsters reach different stages of development at their own pace, but certain milestones are common for most of them. For example, at age three, children can usually talk, run, hop on one foot, walk up and down stairs, dress without help and express a wide range of feelings.
Then again, some toddlers can even play the piano!
Charlotte is a precious girl who will have you in awe.
Dressed in a floral dress with little pigtails and the most adorable smile, the video begins with her sitting at the piano. Her mom is behind the camera, filming the performance and talking to her daughter. Mom has an interesting conversation with Charlotte, and it’s clear that her mom treats her like an equal. She mimics her mom’s voice and the way that she pronounces certain words.
As the mother asks little Charlotte to play the piano, she says that she wants to sing a birthday song for her first.
Once you hear her say it, your heart will melt completely! After some convincing, the girl finally puts her little fingers on the piano keys.
Before long, it’s clear that Charlotte is already a professional.
We can hear Charlotte singing all the pitches while she plays J.C.F Bach’s “Allegretto.”
It’s especially impressive because even many adult musicians can’t sing what they play on pitch! A true musician can accurately sing what they play. The little girl is very talented, and we’re glad to see that her family is actively working with her, directing her towards the right path and showing her some tricks on the way. It even says in the video description that she attends a music school to nurture her talents.
From this video, it’s clear that if this young lady dedicates her time to music, she’ll keep getting better and better.
After all, Mozart famously started to play the piano when he was three-years-old!
Despite being so young, Charlotte already has a great sense of rhythm.
She doesn’t hurry when she plays, and the whole song is an unexpectedly mature performance. When it’s all over, she even finds a way to do what she wanted and says “Mommy’s birthday” at the end! After all, she did want to sing a birthday song all along. We’re guessing that her mother is extremely proud of her daughter, and supports her towards bigger and better things.

It is motivational to see such a good result that came from a child who simply feels the music and isn’t being put under any pressure.
Her parents and teachers are doing a great thing in helping her advance beyond the age she is. Hopefully, the encouragement of millions of YouTube views will be just the thing she needs to keep on practicing!
We’re guessing that Charlotte will probably be a true professional someday.
