24-year-old Faith Sosene now finds her name trending all over the internet thanks to her performance on The Voice Australia where she sang Celine Dion’s “Because you loved me.”

Everyone knows it’s not easy to sing Celine Dion songs but Faith blew the judges away.

She got all four of them turning to face her!

The song was released in 1996 and has since become one of the most endearing ballads thanks to it’s romantic melody and sweet lyrics that lovers all over can relate to.

It takes a lot of talent and a lot of confidence to sing the song during an audition on television.

Faith’s mother has rheumatoid arthritis and suffers from heart disease so she needs constant care.

Faith sings because she feels that music is her release when she feels helpless and overwhelmed.

Faith is used to singing in church. She spoke about her faith and how important it was as part of her journey for The Voice.

“It really does help me push through,” she said. “It’s such a new experience, it’s such a new stage especially being in the secular world, so I’m really praying to God to help me through things that I don’t know.”

Faith dedicated her blind audition to her mother.

“I just had to eliminate the crowd and the coaches out of the room and my mind – and just sing to my Mum. It was the only way I could have gotten through the song.”

Her whole audition, including her song of choice, seemed to be one huge roller coaster of emotions.

Faith unleashes her vocal prowess, immediately impressing judges Keith Urban, Jessica Mauboy, Guy Sebastian and Rita Ora.

That’s a tough bunch to impress you know.

“It won’t feel like the voice Australian if there isn’t any Islander contestants, I love it so much for the representation. Our Pacific Islander are finally not keep our talents to ourselves and sharing it. ” says a viewer named Blanca Dior Dior.

That’s because Faith is of Samoan-Australian blood.

The singer from Ipswich actually gave up her singing ambitions so she could care for her mother Susana.

Her heart disease and renal failure continued to worsen so Faith made the choice.

“I started looking after my mum when I was 19 but when I got to 21, I was like, OK, this is it – I’m content and I’m happy with it and I love my mum, she deserves everything for what she’s done for me, but in that moment at that age I was like OK this is me for the rest of my life, and I’m happy with it, I’m going to have to give up music.” Faith shared.

“I was so deeply satisfied. It was just the circumstances and what I had to do, so to have this opening on The Voice, saying it’s a dream is an understatement.” she continued.

Well Faith had all four judges turning with that incredible voice of hers.

She chose Jessica Mauboy. Her dreams of becoming a singer have now become reality. ‘
