I haven't heard this rendition of the song before but they sure did make it their own. 🤩

Is a lady really ever too old to wear boots?

This line-dancing competition got a lot more interesting when these ladies brought their best boots to the show.

Line dancing is all about show, even more than other dances. It demands quite a lot of coordination, and that’s what judges scrutinize at competitions like this.

What’s more, a line dance isn’t as flashy as other forms of dance. This isn’t a performance where you’ll see lots of twirling, breakdancing, or shuffling.

Line dancers tend to keep it simple because coordination is much easier that way.

Can you imagine getting 20 or more people to coordinate a break dance? Not so easy.

These line dancers are Babes In Boots.

No, I’m not patronizing them – that’s their actual group name. They certainly live up to their name with the size of their boots.

Babes In Boots are 2-time world champions in line dancing and they know what they’re doing.

Dancing in high-heeled boots ain’t easy. Those ankles can start to hurt from even just walking.

You’ve got to give credit to any lady who can stay in heels for long. It’s a workout on its own.

The Arizona-based team is led by Bridgette Camille Campos. It’s a pretty age-diverse dance group as well.

The youngest dancers are 20, and the oldest ones are 60.

Line-dancing in high-heeled boots at 60? I can’t imagine how hard that must be. And their choreography here shows how they became world champions.

They’ve chosen Jessica Simpson’s “These Boots are Made for Walking” as their backing track.

A very tongue-in-cheek choice of music. You’ve gotta love it.

With the go-signal from the music off, the girls kick it off flashy with the splits.

Then it’s a can-can routine following it up.

The chorus is fast approaching, and you can bet the ladies are prepared. They’ve arranged themselves in an upside-down V-formation, and cross-up the rows when the chorus plays.

Now the choreography is really starting to kick up.

Owing to their name, they show off some rather spicy swaying and stepping.

There’s no denying that it’s a teeny bit provocative, but you don’t call yourself “Babes in Boots” if you can’t back it up, right?

The performance is reaching its most energetic phase now, and every lady’s giving her all.

I hope the judges and audience appreciate it.

Even the senior dancers prove that they’re not too old to strut and sway their hips a bit.

The younger ones of course lead up in the front and are by far the most confident and energetic of the group.

Look at those game faces. One look at those smiles and you know stage fright isn’t in their vocabulary.

Expecting nothing less, they wrap it up by turning the energy up to 10.

Talk about ending it on a high note. Then, all the ladies promptly strut off stage in their boots.
