It has been said to be the “foundation of all dance forms”

Dancing has been around for centuries, and how it evolved into what it is now, surely has a beginning – and some say that is Ballet.
These 24 young girls will give you a glimpse of ballet
It was a grand night at the David H. Koch Theater in 2014 as “Stars of Today Meet Stars of Tomorrow,” a Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) gala, was held there. It was a lot of pressure from performers as they get to perform their piece in front of many professionals. However, 24 young girls bravely waltzed on the prestigious stage of Lincoln Center and they are about to perform their ballet routine which won first place in the Regional level competition.
You can’t take your eyes off them even for a second

These girls are from the Morning Star Dance Academy of Atlanta. They wore beautiful flower dresses and are holding fans as they position themselves on the stage, which is probably why their ensemble is called “Jasmine.” However, as the music starts, you’ll shortly realize why their ensemble is named after the Jasmine flower.
It begins with their mesmerizing fan plays

With the tinkle of the xylophone, their fans bloomed like real flowers, and with perfect synchronization, they were able to create fantastic visuals by just opening and closing their fans.

Each side has a different color, green and pink. The moment the first formation disassembled, each traveled the stage using the pointe technique, with their fans looking like petals being swept by the wind.
Their graceful formations were just too satisfying to watch

They never failed to astound us with their elegant dancing. You could never get enough of their light feet gracefully tiptoeing on-stage. Furthermore, they kept on displaying their creativity with the fans, forming colorful flower visuals that blow your mind. It makes you wonder how much these young girls spent on practicing such a perfectly done routine.
It’s not surprising how these kids managed to rack views on YouTube

Morning Star Dance Academy uploaded this clip on their YouTube channel and it ended up earning more than 5 million views online! The online audience couldn’t help but appreciate how these kids pulled off their performance.

They also appreciated the fact how they incorporated Chinese traditional dance into ballet. These kids really deserve this kind of recognition.

Ballet originated in Italy in around 1500 when Italian Catherine de Medici married the King of France, Henry II, and introduced some dance styles into court life in France. It started with forms and costumes we probably won’t recognize today. It took centuries for the dance to spread throughout the world, evolving with certain new looks, routines, and theatrics that were introduced from different countries.
Ballet continues to be significant in today’s generation

Parents who could afford to have their kids in prestigious schools would most likely enroll their kids in ballet dancing. It would take years to learn ballet, and it is perfect to start kids when they are still developing. Aside from the students being taught with strict discipline, they could also learn how to bring grace into their movements. They’d also acquire physical benefits from doing it. Eventually, they’ll learn to appreciate the art in this ancient dance form.
