Although Elvis’s songs are still popular and covered by many prominent singers, it’s surprising to see someone from the youngest generation take an interest in the music of The King.

In a YouTube video captured by his dad, little two-year-old Daniel performs an amazing karaoke version of the classic song “Can’t Help Falling in Love”.

The cutest cover in music history.

While his dad strums the guitar in the background, he starts belting out the song.

It’s quite an adorable sight. Imagine the adorable way that toddlers talk, but set to music and trying to hit all these different notes.

On top of that, Daniel has a great ear for pitch and is able to alter his singing to hit a variety of notes.

Daniel takes his singing very seriously.

Throughout the whole video, this little kid sings with a look of serious concentration on his face. It seems like he really cares about this song.

Maybe he is focusing on getting all the words right, or maybe he is trying to hit all the high and low notes of the song. Either way, he gives a standout performance of the song.

A labor of love

It took a few days for him to nail the song, and his quick learning is amazing.

Daniel learned a lot by just watching his family’s karaoke. His father describes his learning curve by saying:

“One time, this Elvis song came on autoplay and my wife sang it. The next day, Daniel was humming the melody, so I picked up a guitar and played/sang it for him. A few days later, my little guy (who at that time barely even talked) was belting out the words (as long as I was singing along). This video is his first time trying to sing it by himself.”

Singing is a speech milestone for toddlers.

Just like learning to talk, it can take children a while to fully be in control of their musical chops. Most children start to sing in the toddler years, around age 2 or 3.

Typically the singing starts by sounding like a jumble of words, and with time and practice it grows into the beautiful notes that most of us recognize as singing.

Daniel doesn’t cease to impress.

A lot of people are amazed by Daniel’s talents, and by his parents raising him on Elvis.

Maybe Daniel has a future in singing. He is certainly learning at an early age how to carry a tune and seems to have a natural passion for it.

Even if he doesn’t end up pursuing it, it’s amazing that he is being raised with joy and passion for music and classic tunes.
