The evolution of dance starts with a little bit of Gene Kelly’s “Singing In The Rain,” before quickly jumping to “Hound Dog” by the King himself.

They go from song to song, changing dances and outfits with every new tune. After Elvis, “Tutti Frutti” by Little Richard comes on, followed by ”I Feel Good” by James Brown.

You can’t do an evolution of music without “Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer—and the baggy pants are a must!

Something about the “hammer time” dance is just so catchy, maybe it’s those unique baggy pants. Whatever it is, people love it!

Drake’s “In My Feelings” and “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X close out the ’50s dance evolution.

Drakes definitely one of the most influential artists right now, so that’s right on point. Lil Nas X is a great choice to close out with because that song was huge in 2019.
