Jason Clas is now a 20-year-old young man who’s been actively engaged in music for five years.

This video was posted in 2015 when he was at the beginning of his musical journey. Being a teenager back then, Clas managed to attract 20,300 YouTube subscribers and 5,000 Instagram followers. You can find his music on Spotify and SoundCloud, and we feel like the guy should get the break he deserves.

Success is always hard to achieve, whatever you work on, but judging by Jason’s gradual and persistent work, we think that he might just hit it big in the music industry.

For now, Clas has released two singles and does covers of different popular songs: anything from Justin Bieber to Ed Sheeran.

The cover of Sheeran’s “I See Fire” went viral, and that’s how the wider audience got the chance to meet the unique talent from the Bronx.

Apart from that information, Jason doesn’t reveal much about himself on social media. We assume that the young man lets his music do all the talking.

For those who don’t know, “I See Fire” plays over the first section of the closing credits of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

Ed Sheeran saw the movie at an early screening, then wrote the song for it in 2013, and it quickly topped the charts

The track was nominated for a Satellite Award for Best Original Song. It also received a nomination for Best Song Written for Visual Media from the 2015 Grammy Award. Several artists have covered the song so far, including Peter Hollens, Kygo, Sole Mio, Joe Moore and Axel Rudi Pell.

We feel like it perfectly suits the young man we hear in the video since young people have a special devotion to Tolkien’s novel.

Jason’s powerful voice is calming, mellow and simply beautiful. As soon as the video begins, you’ll realize that it was filmed in a hallway. Jason stands on the stairs and a friend of his sits by his side, holding an acoustic guitar in his lap. The friend is an adult who obviously fully supports Jason’s talent, and we love everything about it. All you can hear is a phenomenal voice accompanied by the sound of a quiet, acoustic guitar. The young gentleman’s singing sounds effortless, “I See Fire” is a song that comes naturally to him. As far as the fire goes, Jason set some flames of passion all over that improvised staircase stage. Listening to Clas performing the song is a completely satisfying experience you’ll be replaying a lot.

After being uploaded in 2015, the video received five million YouTube views.

As Jason grew older his appearance changed a bit, but you can still recognize the boy in him. It’s clear that he loves making music, and that’s why it would be a delight if his work got a lot more exposure! We wish him the best of luck with future projects and hope that inspiration will always follow him around.
