When it comes to “The Voice,” you never know what you will see or hear. While there are a few flops on the stage, most performers nail it, and many contestants even have the judges fighting over them. It’s not just about having a good voice or being able to perform; it’s also about song choice. Choosing the wrong song can be bad news, no matter how well you can sing it.
One 13-year-old girl recently wowed the judges with her rendition of “Meant To Be.”
The country song is one of the hottest and most played these days, and it tends to get stuck in your head after you hear it one time. It was originally sung by Bebe Rexha, and it’s an upbeat song. Reagan Strange decided to change things up and bit for her audition. She slowed it down and sang it more like a ballad.
Her rendition really lets you listen to the words and get a better understanding of the song.

Stange’s version definitely impressed the judges, with both Adam Levine and Blake Shelton turning their chairs around and hoping she would choose them to coach her.
Levine assumed she would choose Shelton since she was singing a country song, but he managed to convince her to come over to his side.
Levine seemed really excited about the young singer and was happy she chose him. He told her:
“It was very Danielle Bradbery-esque. You could go all the way here, I believe that.”
Strange still has a ways to go before she can win, but she seems to be off to a great start.
Everyone is excited to see what other great songs this young girl can sing. She nailed this one and will likely do the same with others.
