In this kid’s case, he was too shy to do it.
Even so, he had a great opportunity to profess his feelings in front of hundreds of people when he auditioned on Britain’s Got Talent!
In a video uploaded to their official YouTube account, a 12-year-old kid performs an original piece entitled “Lightning” in front of the judges and the expecting audience.
This adorable lad’s name is Henry Gallagher, a student of Standish Community High School, the school where he met his year-long crush.
His audition in BGT could be the cutest audition in the show’s history, where he performed a song he wrote for his crush since he doesn’t possess the courage to do so. It’s truly a cuteness overload!
Britain’s Got Talent is a British talent show created and owned by one of the show’s judges, Simon Cowell, under his multimedia entertainment company SYCO.
With many franchises in different countries in the world, the concept of the Got Talent format was for a large-scale televised talent competition.
In each episode, people of any age and background can perform any talent they prefer in front of a panel of judges and a live audience.
Those who audition do their best to impress celebrity judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.
The grand winner will win a cash prize and a place within that year’s performances for the Royal Variety Performance, which means they can get the chance to perform in front of the members of the British Royal Family.
Cheerful little Henry is all smiles during his introduction!
As he explains, he has a huge fan club with him—namely, his family—to support him in his dreams.
He is eager to answer the judges’ questions, but when he gets asked about the subject of his affection, he gets a bit bashful. According to Henry, he wants his crush to be his girlfriend but he doesn’t have the courage to ask her out.
Instead, he explains that he wrote a song for her.
Judge David asked if the girl knows about this song, to which Henry disagreed, saying the girl might even be unaware of his existence.
But don’t be fooled by this kid’s facade—behind his smile lies a very talented singer, songwriter, and musician. A total performer!
When the beat drops and Henry starts to strum his guitar, it’s clear that he’s destined to be a future pop star.
He plays guitar perfectly, and his moves are on point as he grooves to the rhythm of the song. The song is really catchy!
It is a bop and everyone can’t help but sing along, at the same time saying “aww” as they hear the lyrics of the kid’s confession.
Both teens and teens-at-heart can’t help but fall in love with Henry and his performance!
Even if he doesn’t get the girl, he surely got people’s hearts with his performance!
Despite his shy demeanor during the interview, he is a show-stopper on stage. Now, if this ain’t the sweetest confession at all, I don’t know what is!
