For the most part, Ezrah “The Shark” Dormon is just like any other preteen.

A shaggy-haired blonde boy, he likes the same things that other kids his age enjoy: spending time with friends, chocolate frozen drinks, and having fun with art.

The difference, however, is that at 12 years old, Ezrah is already a talented, budding tattoo artist with over 20 real tattoos under his belt!

The start of Ezrah’s tattooing career was unexpected, beginning in a Honolulu shop when his mother went to get a tattoo of a red flower. Ezrah attended the appointment with her and was fascinated by the whole procedure.

His mother tells Daily Mail, “I was just getting that tattoo and Ezrah was just sitting there watching us and talking. And he was like, ‘Wow, I really I wish I could try that. I would love to know how to do that,” and Ali was like, “Well, why don’t you try it now?”

Ali is Ali Garcia, a tattooist who has since taken Ezrah under her wing as an apprentice.

Ezrah practices tattooing day in and day out, whether it be on a practice fruit or real, live subjects.

He says, “Whenever someone comes to get a tattoo, they always have to know that I’m still learning, that I’m just an apprentice […] so, if they feel comfortable offering up a part of their body that I can do and try to do my best job I can.”

Since teaming up, Ali has taught Ezrah a ton about the art of tattooing, including how to draw traditional roses, panthers, swallows, snakes, and sharks (in particular).

On his Instagram page eztheshark, Ezrah shares videos from the beginning of his tattooing career.

This one shows him attempting his very first black lines, his father as the test subject while Ali cheers from the sidelines.

As of this moment, 12-year-old Ezrah is much too young to get his own tattoos, but he does hope to keep incorporating the craft into his future plans, telling Daily Mail, “Maybe I would travel around the world with my tattoo gun.”

So, what do you say?

Would you be willing to get a tattoo from the talented, little Ezrah?
