The Voice is one of the most popular singing competitions all around the world.
And, while millions of people watch The Voice in many countries, the Netherlands took the initiative back in 2012, when they started a competition that had to do with young children and teenagers.
Today, in about forty countries, the audience gets to watch ten-year-olds -and a little younger or a little older than that- sing their favorite songs.
Over the last decade, many children have performed during blind auditions, and, as people say, several of them have made the songs sound better than the original.
A few years ago, Vũ Linh Đan, who was then 12 years old, walk on The Voice Kids Vietnam for a blind audition, and her voice touched the judges’ hearts.
Vũ Linh Đan appeared on the show singing “Rise Up” by Andra Ray.
The song is a motivational one, and it wants to inspire people who are going through hard times, and working past their obstacles.
The song, written by Day and Jennifer Decilveo, started as a sort of prayer when one of Day’s friends was diagnosed with cancer, but then she decided she had to stand back on her feet.
This is exactly what people who love this song think about.
The inspiration that helps them overcome their obstacles and manage to not feel hopeless anymore.
Now, when it comes to singing this amazing song, it is far from an easy thing to do.
Day’s voice is beautiful, and it seems that the lyrics just come right from her heart, and this is definitely something not many people can do.
But, although the child at the competition was not a mature woman at the time of her audition, she actually sounded like one.
When Vũ Linh Đan started singing, the judges realized there was an amazing star-to-be behind them, and they all wanted to take her on their team.
Moments later, all three pairs of judges pushed their buttons in order to turn around and see the girl who was singing.
Unfortunately, one pair was blocked, meaning they could not turn around and they could not try to add the girl to their team.
Still, they stood up and turned around in order to admire the young singer who was doing her best.
The 12-year-old’s performance was actually flawless, she sounded super talented, not stressed out, and singing the beautiful, inspiring, but also hard-to-sing, song felt effortless.
The girl sang several popular songs with her beautiful voice during the next rounds of the competition, but she didn’t win The Voice Kids that year, she was in third place.
However, in October 2019, she debuted with the track “This Is My Destiny.”
The teenager is still active on social media and it seems that she will go on singing during the following years.
After all, she’s too talented to stop being a singer, right?
Make sure you watch the video below to enjoy her chilling blind audition!
