Children singers are not an unusual sight at talent shows like America’s Got Talent.
Young boys and girls have tried to impress the judges of the show many a time.
In some cases they were successful, while a few times judges were not really excited and asked them to work hard and return in a few years when their voice will have been properly trained.
But sometimes, they’ll surprise you.
Sometimes there are kids that you just can’t ignore. Little boys and girls whose talent is natural and you can’t help but admit that they are meant to sing.
Meet Annie Jones.
Annie is a 12-year-old girl from Australia, who participated in the contest in Season 15.
When Jones went on stage, it was obvious that she was quite shy. She was a beautiful, sweet girl, but one could tell that she didn’t feel very comfortable in front of the three judges.
Sofia Vergara tried to help her relax.
The actress told the young girl that she loved her outfit, and asked if she had brought her family with her that night.
Indeed, Annie’s family were backstage crossing their fingers and sending positive vibes to their little girl.
After the initial short interview, it was time for the girl to start singing.
Her talent was instantly obvious.
Even from the first few lyrics she sang, it was clear that she had a talent for it.
The song that she’d picked was Dance Monkey, and her rendition was nothing like the ones we’ve heard before.
Perfect tone, no mistakes, and confidence!
Annie showed off her swag dance moves with the confidence of an experienced, professional performer.
When she sang and danced, she looked like a completely different person. Nothing like the shy child we saw only moments before during the interview.
The judges were impressed too.
They started clapping, and Sofia Vergara even danced to the song. They were all amazed by the girl’s flawless performance.
Once the song was over, the audience gave Annie a standing ovation. All that was left then was for the judges to vote.
To nobody’s surprise, Annie got three yeses from the judges, and she couldn’t contain herself.
“You are amazing,” Howie Mandel said. “It’s just so stunning watching you. You’re a great performer, you sound well, you’re a star, and the world now knows you!”
Indeed, Jones went on to the Quarterfinals of the show, where she was eventually eliminated, but that didn’t stop her.

She’s now a star in Australia, and she even sang the National Anthem of Australia during the Australian Open earlier this year.
Now, she has a huge following.
The young singer shares her news and her next steps in singing on social media accounts that are managed by he parents. With almost 16k followers on Instagram, she’s now quite famous.
This sweet and talented little girl definitely has a great career in front of her, and we can’t wait to see her shine even brighter.
