It is so heartwarming to hear favorite songs performed by beautiful voices, and it gets even better when those voices come from children.
Liamani Segura is one of those children whose lovely voice tugs at your heartstrings every time you hear it.
She was born in Racine, Wisconsin, and she has been singing ever since she was a toddler. At the age of six, she performed in public for the first time, singing the US national anthem before large crowds, specifically high school and professional basketball and baseball games.
The most impressive thing about the 11-year old girl is that she never took singing lessons as a young girl, but she started practicing her vocal inflections by watching videos on YouTube. Maybe that’s what inspired her to also start her own YouTube channel, where she uploads material from her live performances as well as covers of popular songs.

Liamani loves to sing in front of audiences, but she also absolutely adores singing for one person only- one on one. She believes that she was given a beautiful voice by God so that she could comfort with her songs those who need her, be it a sick person or just someone who happens to have a bad day.

In fact, this need Liamani has to help people also reflects on the career she might choose in the future. As stated in her blog, when she grows up she wants to be a doctor.
“When Liamani grows up she wants to be a doctor so that she could ‘Help people and get lots of money,'” her blog reads.
Of course, in this decision, she might be partly affected by her mother, who is a registered nurse, so we guess it runs in the family.

So, about a week ago, Liamani uploaded on her YouTube channel a cover of the song “Rise Up”, in an attempt to encourage people in the hard times we are going through and give them the strength to keep going, as well as a reassurance that it is all going to be fine.
“I feel like a lot of us need to hear this message…Can I please let you know that although times are tough..I know that we will ALL get through this and we WILL.. ‘Rise Up!'” she writes in the description box below the video.
Liamani went on to highlight the fact that we all need each other during this unprecedented crisis, as well as the importance of being close to other people either by phone, video calls, or just a drive-by.
“Let’s brighten someone’s day and let them know we are thinking of them,” she wrote.
Her video has already been viewed more than 7,000 times, and it has been upvoted by more than a thousand people. Also, the comments below it have been really encouraging for the young girl to keep singing and following her dreams.
“One of my favourite songs, and you nailed it! Well done, you really are an inspiration,” someone wrote, while someone else commented: “You have such a incredible voice and I’m not just saying that as any ordinary thing. It’s a truly amazing gift you were given by god!”
The girl really is an inspiration and we wish she keeps singing and pursuing her dreams.
