To get really good at doing anything, we have to spend a lot of time doing it.

Whether we’re talking about building things, learning how to paint or performing music, we generally aren’t born knowing how to do these things perfectly.

Still, if we have the passion and drive necessary to achieve excellence, we can work away at these things until we master them completely. With that said, there are still people out there who seem to show incredible levels of talent at an age before many of us do.

The girl in this video is one of those such people.

For anyone who doesn’t know, the little girl in this clip is Jayna Brown.

While Brown has her own Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels where she promotes her music, this clip was recorded when she was only 11 years old and she had none of those social media pages running yet. Like many of the rest of us who want to perform or who need experience with public speaking, Brown got some of her early singing and performing experience in church.

Still, not many of us were able to sing so beautifully in church when we were just 11 years old.

As the video starts, some soft piano plays in the background and Brown gathers herself.

The song she’s singing is “Take Me to the King,” a gospel song recorded by Tamela Mann that was released in 2012. It is a powerful and soulful gospel song that has been certified platinum and has won the hearts of many.

It’s also quite a vocal challenge for anyone, let alone a young girl! Regardless, Brown takes up her microphone and gets ready to give it her best shot.

From the very beginning, it’s clear that Brown’s voice is something special.

The crowd is on her side right away as her beautiful, gentle voice soars through the song.

As the song slowly builds, the notes get higher and harder to hit, but Brown doesn’t struggle with them at all! Her voice is so soulful and powerful that the crowd has to interrupt with clapping throughout the performance.

By the end, Brown is truly belting out the notes with the power of a woman twice her age. Just before the song ends, she hits the highest runs of all and the crowd gets on their feet.

After watching this, it’s not hard to see why it has millions and millions of views!

Although this performance is incredible in itself, many people probably don’t know who this young woman is.

As it turns out, Brown was actually a contestant on America’s Got Talent years later when she was 14 (still so young)! In that performance, she performed another soulful but difficult song to sing, namely “Rise Up” by Andra Day.

In that performance as in this one, Brown more than rose to the challenge and blew the audience away.

When it’s all over, one of the judges even tells her that she was “born to sing!”

Even if you’re not a singer yourself, it’s not hard to see that Brown has exceptional talent.

Because she’s still so young, there’s no telling what Brown will do in the future—though she’s well on her way by constantly loading up videos and songs on her social media!

If you liked these performances, definitely look at her other pages and give her all the support that you can. Although enough work and passion can help anybody be successful, it’s not every day that someone has the raw talent that Brown does.

Thank you to Jayna for inspiring us with her incredible vocal performances! Check out the full clip below:
